Pastor Clifford Manie has been our Pastor since January 2005. He is married and has four wonderful children. He has co-authored a book with his wife entitled"Words To Grow By" The book is a must have. It is truly a book to help you grow. You may use this book as a morning devotional. It is a compilation of spiritual thoughts and inspiring stories, the contents of Words to Grow By have been acknowledged by many to be uplifting, encouraging, and a blessing to read. Originally, this work began as a single, weekly ministerial message to the members of the Springfield Gardens SDA Church. As individuals were blessed by reading the thoughts, the idea to compile these ministerial messages took root in the minds of the writers- Pastor Manie and Sis. Manie.
Ultimately, Words to Grow By was born, and the book is a collection of three years of work or ministerial messages to members and friends. Pastor and Mrs. Manie pray that whoever reads these messages will be blessed by them and hopefully readers will find the thoughts contained in this work, words to grow by.

Here is an excerpt from the book: "In the ministry of Jesus, He traveled to various and sundry places. Yet while He wandered far and wide, His presence in different cities was never happenstance. Jesus was never 'accidentally'somewhere. He did not visit a city, town, or village by chance. A precise purpose always propelled Him to a place. There was always a need--a silent call from some soul that only His divine radar could discern--that pulled Him to a certain place. Sometimes it was the call for forgiveness or deliverance from sin. At other times, it was the call for healing. Then too it was sometimes the need for the gift of everlasting life.("p.171-Expedient Excursion) What is your call today? Do you need a visit from Jesus? Is He visiting you today? Whatever your need is, He is aware of it and help is on the way.
